Opening: A kind of new futurism?
Ståle Sørensen (1972) showcases sculptures in bronze, wood, and other materials that represent constructions and organic forms in movement, as well as dynamic compositions of elements, and points to the Italian Futurists, an art movement that ended in tragedy and allied with Benito Mussolini's regime. Nevertheless, the Futurists inspire with their celebration of progress, modernity, daring, and movement.
